I am not sure what we were expecting but, leek and potato soup, smoked salmon, chicken with mushroom sauce and vegetables, with apple pie and cream do not a Medieval Banquet make😡😡 However the entertainment was quite good.

This banquet was a lot of fun! They greeted us with a cup of mead and explained a little about the castle. We then went upstairs for the banquet where we sat at long tables. They chose a King and Queen and crowned them and...More

As advertised - songs, skits and music by a trio of staff with others who also served and assisted. Only big enough for about 50. We went early hoping to see more of the castle but they close the doors at 4:30 ready for the...More

We visited Dunguaire Castle as part of our Trafalgar Ireland tour. The entire evening was outstanding. The Mead, Food and Entertainment were top-notch. My wife and I were lucky enough to be selected the King and Queen for the night. That was fun. This was...More

If you have a choice choose Bunratty castle over this one for the medieval banquet experience.
