The gardens and grounds are beautiful. Our jaunting car tour to the Abby was great and the guide friendly and informative. The rest of the staff (at the Manor House, the gift shops, and restaurant) was unhelpful and indifferent.

Wonderful trip once again, highly recommend!! We cycled from Killarney to the house. Such a great cycle track from the town to the house and only took a short time.

Muckross House was a great tour and very informative about how the family lived and how things were done in the day. The grounds are beautiful with wonderful gardens and lovely walk down to the lake.

Jaunting cart to Muckross was great. Best parts were stops at Muckross Abbey and the Stone Garden outside the house.

The surroundings were glorious, the lake, the lawns, etc. There were LOTS of wasps outside and inside!! The food in the cafe was nice as was the tea but we left quickly because of the wasps!

Beautiful home and grounds. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures inside the house. The guided tour was excellent and our young female guide was truly proud of the place and rightly so.Much to do on the property but comes with separate entrance fees.

We visited the Muckross House and Gardens instead of the more tourist centered Ross Castle and Gap of Dunloe, The house is very majestic, having hosted the queen of England. The owner went to great lengths improving the home and gardens in preparation for the...More

Hi Joan, Muckross House, Gardens and Traditional Farms are worth visiting all year round. However, it is particularly beautiful in Spring/Summer when the Cherry Blossoms bloom, and there is a frothy pink and white display... More
