Wasn't open for tours in the winter months but a great place to take some photos. We took a jaunting car ride back to town and had a great bit of history that we missed since the castle was closed

Absolutely perfect experience. From the drive there, a boat ride, exploring the castle grounds and topping it off with a horse drawn jaunting ride through the park it was just perfect! The drivers will negotiate but you’ll end up with basically the same lovely ride...More
Great castle to walk around and take a picture with the view of the lake and mountains especially with the sunset. Only a 5 minute drive from Killarney but was closed when we went but would have loved to have a tour inside the castle.
If you love history, Ross Castle is definitely worth visiting. Situated on edge of lake it offers spectacular views of Killarney State Park. Great photo opps! Recommend taking tour to learn about what daily life was like living in a castle! Very enlightening and enjoyable...More

Do not miss this castle if you are in the park. It is situated on a lake with swans swimming and views of mountains. It is spectacular.
