The pamphlet looked very attractive and the road signage leading up to it however if only the sanctuary was as well maintained. Cost €30 for entry(2 adults 2children), and another €16 for tea and apple tart. The coffee shop was filthy and before we entered...More

We had a lovely day here and particularly enjoyed the area with goats, alpacas and prairie dogs - this was fantastic. Our toddler really enjoyed himself. However, for the admission price we expected much more. The toilet facilities resembled a horror film. There were very...More

I'm so glad we were told about the wandering lemurs. They were fantastic to see. And all the other wildlife just roaming around. The kids loved it

Visited Coolwood with my daughter and grandsons. There was a lovely variety of creatures. Most of them seemed very contented. The large grey owl did seem a little confined in his cage.

Place needs a major face lift. Most of all though a lot of the enclosures look to small and are really not in great shape. The kids playground is not inviting.

While some animals seemed to have appropriate housing, like the rabbits and geese, others were in desparate need of bigger and cleaner cages, like all the birds, monkeys, chinchillas and raccoons. Especially the owls seemed distressed.
