A great tribute to Monsignor Hugh for being a hero and life saver during the reign of Hitler. The number of lives that he saved in Rome showed his value to society.

Knew this film had been based on true story but didn’t know Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty camefrom Kilarney! Fabulous tribute to a great man who said ‘God has no Country’. How true. His courageous acts saved so many human beings during the 2nd world war.

It's good that this memorial is here, as it makes you think how many Jews were saved by this one man-he should be remembered. There is a movie with Gregory Peck and Christopher Plummer and it is to be recommended to understand the history behind...More

Monsignor saved the lives of 6,500 Allied soldiers and Jews in the Catholic resistance to Nazism during WWII. It is easy locate this statue. Could do with a clean.
