It was great seeing a castle that was fully restored. It gave us a very good impression of how life might have been during medieval days. The castle and grounds were beautiful.

It was early morning when we arrived before the crowds. Excellent self guided tour or tour guides available. There are staff inside the castle who are eager to assist and speak with you about the property Well worth the tour

Always an excellent place for a walk, one time or two times around or taking in part of the city. Always a good atmosphere , especially with the amount of tourists about. Very cosmopolitan !

this was an interesting contrast to the other sites we visited. Kilkenny has been restored / maintained. it provides a very good view of how people (rich people) lived in the past.

We didn't go into the castle but enjoyed the exterior and grounds. We walked up a slipway from the river, through a gate to the castle to be greeted by a brass band. They played an assortment of songs from musicals, Bruno Mars, and Queen....More
