Historic ruin

Book the tour of this lovely well maintained ruin on the Limerick side of Adare village. It stands by the river off the main road. A perfect photo op!

Spent 3 days at Adare in between RWC matches last year and it was an excellent stay - impressive rooms, attentive service and fine dining. We will certainly revist

I would love to give this an excellent rating and should but one thing prevents it---our first night's stay. I booked our two nights (celebrating a birthday and anniversary) through Expedia and apparently the fine writing states that they can't guarantee your room. I'd booked a King room. We arrived around 9PM after a harrowing drive from Dublin (on the... More

Now owned by a billionaire who is apparently committed to preserving this beautiful manor home, Adare Manor provides a glimpse of life for the wealthy as depicted in Downton Abbey. Everything about this place is beautiful: the grounds, the doorways, the floors, carpets, furniture, artwork and even the bathrooms. We had lunch – a decadent indulgence – served in the... More

We arrived October 2nd to discover that it closed to tourists in September. We had to enjoy the view from the outside, and it is very beautiful.

Adare is an amazing castle that now has a few rooms inside the castle, but also on-property villas (like American town homes). The property is expansive and includes a golf course and two 15th and 16th Century abandoned abbeys. There is rich history here and it's a beautiful area. It's been too long since our last visit, but I highly... More

We bought a guide tour to this castle on 19.09.2015. The guide told very interesting facts about this castle. I still remenbmer a number of stories about people live in the middle ages. I would recommend this guide tour.

Because we were not staying there we could only do a drive through but it looks amazing from the outside and the grounds were pristine. It is on our list for next time!!

I'm in Adare (and thus glimpse the castle in passing) a couple of times a month, in season, but usually our time there is brief. Yesterday I had the luxury of over an hour, so took advantage of it to get on the guided tour of the castle, which cannot be accessed otherwise. So glad I did! It is much... More
