Stayed on campus and had time to walk all around campus, including the trails along the river. Campus is beautiful and easy to navigate. The river trails were very pretty, and there are small ruins along the path.

Drove through the campas, very modern and functional. Easy to get around. Walked from the carpark, through the grounds, and along the river path. Sunny day which made it very enjoyable.

Galway would be best, as the city itself if really popular with tourists and there's a great vibe there. The countryside is beautuful there. Also has lots of tourist attractions near by like connemara, the aran islands etc.
