All year round despite the weather this location can be magnificent to visit. The trail into the falls from the carpark is easy with just some short steep ascents/descents but perhaps not suitable for those with mobility issues. Even if you do not walk to...More

This place is incredible. Mahon Falls is accessible via car. The landscape is awe inspiring, absolutely beautiful. There are also quite a lot of other wonderful spots around the area.

The drive gives you a glimpse of rural Waterford. Beautiful. The scenery is varied and one can stop at a car park and walk and enjoy the mountain air and views over the countryside!

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
I'm planning a trip to Ireland this summer, and we love to try beautiful drives with some hiking, but I'm having a hard time seeing where exactly this drive is. I see the Mahon Falls on Google Maps, but I'm confused on what roads are included in the Comeragh Drive. That day, we are starting from Waterford and plan to end up in Cork that late afternoon. Can you give me some direction (road names/numbers) on the route to take? I would so greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
