I am not a church goer however it was a cold day and the family wanted to go in for a look round. I have to say it was quite impressive inside. I don'the know anything about churches but it was obvious if churches float your boat there go in and have a look round you will be pleasantly surprised

Attended a Thursday evening mass. Not being catholic myself the priest was welcoming and service was nice. There are a couple masses a day during weekdays. They have an informative website. Not a large crowd maybe 15 or so in attendance. I would recommend!

This Cathedral as I understand it, in Ireland oldest City Waterford is a very old church. Designed by John Roberts Architect and Built in 1793, almost 214 years old and apparently Ireland's oldest Catholic Cathedral. As a boy I recall the railings to the front and have a vague recollection of the gates! Perhaps someone can recall the reason for... More

Love this cathedral. It is different from most -- yes, has pillars and altar and pews -- but it is wider than long, it seems. Also, there is a grotto half-way up the left where you wouldn't expect to see one. Then another surprise is the rather large room in the front left corner reserved for daytime Adoration. There are... It's a pretty church, but we saw far more outstanding churches and cathedrals on our trip. The Waterford crystal in the church were lovely.

Such a beautiful church. So many statues of all the saints. The Waterford chandeliers are wonderful. There is also a lovely Waterford plaque with The Sacred Heart which was donated to the church. I personally love visiting churches and this one is very special. Worth a visit if you like or appreciate churches.

This was surprisingly small and informal, more like a local parish church in its atmosphere, but with some attractive stained glass windows and a calm serene feel to the place. An interesting contrast to the Protestant cathedral a few hundred yards away, designed by the same person.

We visited this Roman Catholic Cathedral and it is a another wonderful building. Displays of children who had taken first communion were a feature at this time. Despite being Anglicans we always appreciate quality buildings of other faiths.
