We visited for a plant show and took in a visit to the wonderful gardens on the same day. We had never been here before and were very surprised that such a lovely place was in our own area and had never heard of it!...More

Anyone in the area should not leave without a visit to these beautiful gardens. The walk around them can be as leisurely as you wish with quiet seating areas where one can relax and enjoy the solitude and bird song. I am not a walker...More

We have been here several times over the years as it is fairly local. The tour of the castle itself is interesting with an informative guide. The gardens are good for adults and kids with unusual nooks and crannies. Some lovely plants and trees. It...More

We found this by accident on way back from Sligo. Unusual in that a family still lives in the castle. Beautiful coffee shop on site and the gardens are done to perfection with lots to see. Really great spot. Just over an hour from Dublin...More

Just opened for their 2017 season, the gardens are worth the diversion to discover this beautiful little corner of the Midlands. Wander about at your leisure to explore the walled garden and the lakes; benches abound to allow the option of enjoying the different vistas...More

The building itself is quite impressive. The gardens are pretty and surrounding area is worth a walk around. It has no massive signposts and even the entrance could be overlooked, but worth finding.

I love these old buildings and gardens. This place is great only I feel it's expensive for what you get. The walk is lovely with something for everyone and the cafe is fab but I would love a look inside the castle, although I'm sure...More

The place is lovely. We just visited the gardens, not the manor. But it was really worth the trip. Just one serious advice: wear hiking boots!

You can get to Castlepollard by bus. That is the closest town that I know of to Tullynally. From there, you could take a taxi or it would be about a 30 minute walk from the center of town out to the grounds.
