You probably know us as a lovely place for children to see the animals, run around in beautiful countryside and let off steam in our state-of-the-art play barn - but there's a lot more to Sacrewell.

With the help of £1.4 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund, our 18th century water mill is being transformed into a national centre for milling excellence - take a tour and find out how your great-grandparents got their daily bread. Foodies can also join a tractor trip around the fields of our tenant farmers Riverford Organic Farms (it's on our land).

Then there's our wildlife trail, scavenger hunt and two new rambles - if you're lucky, you'll see the rare red kites and brown hares. Seasonal events range from our Lamb National to ploughing with vintage tractors.

In our 50th year as a charity dedicated to agricultural education, we continue to welcome students of all ages who want to learn traditional skills and get an insight into rural life. We hope that all our visitors not only have a great day out but feel they've learned something too.

Took our 4 year old grand daughter, she'd been there once before and wanted to go back. The weather was more rain than sunny, so whilst it was raining we spent a few hours in the soft play area, then had lunch in the main cafe, I had the soup and roll which was very tasty. By this time the... More

We had a great time at Sacrewell...the restaurant is just right for the family with plenty of options, and the new play barn was just perfect! Our grand children loved it! That said we didnt see much by way of animals, unlike other family petting and farm attractions weve visited. It seemed to be all sheep and a few goats! But... More

We got the yearly membership and we as a family have never been disappointed in fact it is up for renewal and we will be definitely renewing. We always find it super clean, fun and friendly. Days like today they super exceed our expectations, during school holiday times they provide activities alongside all the normal things to do as in... More

We visited Sacrewell after passing countless times and were impressed by the advertising and events they hold. We made a weekend of it and camped at the attached campsite. As part of the camping ticket we got reduced entry into the Farm Park. I have to say, if I had paid the full entrance fee for myself, my husband and... More

We are sorry to hear that you didn't feel your visit to Sacrewell was good value for money. £18.75 for 2 adults & 2 children so a day out on not a lot. Kids loved it, we loved it. Plenty to do although most of the 1/2 term activities were scheduled for the following week which was a little odd. Not too busy & plenty of animals to see. Tractor ride & food for feeding a hit. Playbarn... More

Friendly staff, a room for us to leave our packed lunches and to eat in. Tractor rides and food to feed the animals. Plenty of toilet facilities and time to play in the children' s outdoor and indoor play areas.

Sacrewell is a wonderful place to visit. It is part of a working farm and has much of historical interest as well as a good cafe for meals or something lighter. The young folk had a great time as did we. There are opportunities to get up close to the animals under safe conditions.

Been a few times now this has to be the most disappointing. Only a few animals out, goats, a sheep, donkeys. They had baby piglets which was nice to see. But no horses or other Pigs like there used to be. Soft play area good for young children, but needs a cafe for the adults.

We are sorry that you were disappointed on your visit in mid-February. The number of animals on the farm does vary with the seasons and unfortunately our Suffolk Punch horse Apple has recently passed away, leaving us with only Luna and Tramp the Shetland ponies. We are glad you liked the piglets. They will soon be being weaned off their... More

Arrived just after opening. The soft play area was good and the children enjoyed playing. There were a few animals but not quite what I was expecting.

We're sorry that we didn't quite meet your expectations on your visit. The number of animals we have at Sacrewell varies over the year, as it would on a traditional farm. In spring our numbers grow rapidly as babies, including our rare breed Lincoln Longwool lambs, are born. In late autumn and winter some of the animals have grown enough... More
