We were waiting to pay to enter the museum , as they were busy we were reading a sign to be told by the lady at the till and a paying customer that we had to pay before could read any info... we hadn't even...More

This was very disappointing. The display was amateurish and extremely limited. We were expecting to see the pump room, but there were a few displays of life in the 19th century and only one actually pertaining to the Royal Baths. Don't bother with this.

Fascinating insight to the medicinal uses of Harrogate spa waters and the social history of the area. Trip down to the spa water point itself. One source smells particularly obnoxious - no wonder it's deemed to be no longer fit for consumption. I don't understand...More

Worth a visit, although a little disappointing not to be able to taste the water (unless I missed it) - I'm sure I have been able to in other former Victorian Spas I have visited.

Small but very interesting. Gave good insights of what spa visitors encountered (some quite gruesome) and the busy social life that occupied them the rest of the time. Get a free parking token from the Info Centre round the corner but make sure you understand...More

Visited in July 2017. Paid £4 per adult to go in. Some small exhibitions of clothes (some from 70s/80s, hardly what you'd expect in a museum), with poor or no descriptions of the exhibits. Exhibits of historical spa treatments were better, but there isn't much...More

Visited today because it was cold and wet. Very interesting displays and I liked the fashion. It was good to go down and see as well as smell the actual wells. Glad we didn't have to drink any.

Only a small place but gives history of the "healing waters" of Harrogate and how it became such an attraction to the rich. It costs £4 but £3 if over 65. Takes an hour of your time so not a great deal of time out...More

Just by chance we booked a underground tour, but wow, how interesting do things get on an afternoon! I was so surprised about the history and the evolution of the waters that have been discovered in Harrogate, I would highly recommend this little tour, you...More
