These gardens are really beautiful, Grade II listed. There are some historic buildings in there alongside beautiful beds. Plenty on offer for the children and there are toilets as well. The gardens are planted with wildlife in mind and there is one garden in particular,...More

When the rain stopped and the evening sun appeared we took a stroll through these lovely gardens sited in the centre of Harrowgate. They were laid out in the 18th century when Harrowgate was a much visited town for its spa and spring waters. There...More

Really pretty & gentle walk through the interesting planted garden part leads you to a nice cafe then on to a seriously well equipped kids part. Popular place for dog walkers, and despite the signs saying dogs had to be on leads there were way...More

The Japanese garden is now complete! Although the planting is still very immature it will look great when it is settled. This was a very neglected part of the gardens and it is great to see it looking so good. The Dahlia border has been...More

The Valley Gardens are absolutely beautiful for walking round - and especially if one has dogs which can be let off at the top end to run free (if well behaved). The gardens are kept very well indeed and all the flower beds are so...More

Pleasantly surprised by these gardens. The colonnade was very impressive. Varied planting and themed areas. Direct access to the pine woods and then on to the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr.

Even though it is September there are so many beautiful beds to see whilst walking along winding pathways in the autumn sunshine. Great that cycles are not allowed so walking was lovely and relaxing. So many different plants to see giving gardeners a great insight...More

The gardens are beautifully maintained. There is a large variety of trees and a stunning array of floral displays. Plus ponds and specific mini gardens eg Japenese, a cafe, activity areas, and walks towards the Pinewoods. These are the most delightful gardens.

One of Harrogate's most spectacular destinations. Historic water wells interspersed with dramatic flower beds. Good children's playground and coffee shop. Let the pressures of life melt away.
