The ruins of this Friary are completely surrounded by ugly modern building, rather a shame. You still get a sense of history from the ruins but its no Tintern Abbey.

lovely to walk around here and see the history and a few photo opportunities too worth a visit. Good eating places and cafes near by and the town is good to walk around as well.

These ruins are quite difficult to find, and when we did find them we were somewhat disappointed. There are some ruined walls and very little else. We couldn't even find any information panels about the building.

Kept the kids entertained. That is all I need in a day out. Spent the whole day there and enjoyed every second.

There are a few remaining walls of the Greyfriars monastic house and church down an alley off Southgate. It's small and unprepossessing. With the fences around it, it looks rather scruffy. The fencing is see through, so you can see all you need, and the...More

Have twice supported vintage Fayre. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful buildings. A wonderful place. Music dancing on the lawn, perfect atmosphere.
