Exquisite, beautiful, full of interesting history, beautiful art and yet has the feeling of a well loved spiritual place

I visited the cathedral on a visit to Derby and I had no idea what a treat was awaiting me. It has the wow factor from the start. Stunningly beautiful and with so much history. I had not idea that Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire and Bess of Hardwick were buried here. The modern stained glass windows were illuminated by the... More

Wonderful evening out. Fantastic acoustics. Ian Anderson skipping around the cathedral with his flute, brilliant guitar and very funny and sympathetic reverend.

We visited here as part of our aim to visit all UK cathedrals it was different but interesting. As it was Easter Saturday people were busy doing flowers but we were still welcomed in a friendly way we were dissapointed that we were too early for the tower tour. It has a nice atmosphere and appears well cared.

Staff were very helpful explaining a lot of the backstory to the Cathedral's history. Very well kept and preserved with some really interesting elements on display, as well as beautiful sights to behold throughout the whole experience.

We went to the Cathedral Saturday morning, not too busy, welcomed as we entered by people working there, and especially one lady who was really helpful with information about its history. Have been in many Cathedrals and this one was perhaps the smallest, but well worth a look around. Loved the Silk Mill pub a short walk away.

This cathedral is worth a visit. It is an old building with a fairly modern interior and with two modern but stunning stained glass windows depicting darkness and light. It also has a tiny underground chapel for quiet contemplation.

Our group had a very interesting tour of the cathedral tower, bells and carillon, including the hour mechanisms striking and culminating with a fine view of the lights of Derby from the top of the tower. The guides were very helpful and informative about the history of the cathedral, with insights to many areas of this interesting building.

We went to see The Sixteen sing here. They were amazing. The venue was excellent with parking close by, cushions on the pews and generally a great atmosphere. We had a great night out and would go again.
