This beautiful old church is full of history. This used to be he garrison church for the Royal West Kent Regiment and all their colours have been hung here over the years. It's in a superb setting beside the river, surrounded by historic buildings including the Archbishops Palace now housing the Registry Office. The church is worthy of a visit... More

I'm not a religious person, but did enjoy Midnight Mass on Xmas Eve. The service was enjoyable, but it's the church architecture that I appreciated most.

A Grade 1 Heritage listed ragstone Parish Church. Constructed 1395 and noted by some as the finest example of a perpendicular style in England. Founded by the Archbishop of Canterbury, William Courtney, as part of the College of All Saints. It contains several interesting monuments including one of the Washington family and its connection to the USA and the Stars... More

Visited on Heritage Open day, with tower tour - interesting, and fabulous view from roof, if scarey. Church interior is lovely. As a pupil at MGS in the 1970s, we used to have an annual service here, and I was always intrigued by the tatty flags flying in the aisles. Have not been back for many years, but flags are... More

All Saints in Maidstone has so much to offer to anyone interested in Christianity, history, architecture and local people. Have called in on a number of occasions when walking around town and enjoyed every visit. Don't be put off by Maidstone's roads and parking - make the effort to go!

Like almost everything else in Maidstone all the really interesting archaeology is hidden behind diabolical one way road systems, poor local awareness of the town's heritage and a failure to make the most of the riverside. All Saints is part of a medieval complex which spans the waterfront and underpins large parts of the town centre. Little that is overtly... More

This is and amazing historic church and I would seriously recommend a visit here. Discover the sword slashes in the stones, the musket shot in the doors and a whole host of interesting features, including the very probably birth place of the US flag. If you go on an organised tour it is sometimes possible to climb up the bell... More
