Walsall Leather Museum is a welcoming and friendly attraction housed in a restored Victorian factory building. We offer a fascinating insight into the story of Walsall's famous leatherworking trade. There are regular guided tours and demonstrations of leather crafts, and a lively programme of events and actvities throughout the year, including changing exhibitions. Beautiful gardens planted with traditional tanning trees and shrubs. Excellent cafe serving home made food, and a great shop specialising in Walsall- made leathergoods.

Lovely and enthusiastic staff provided a fascinating insight into the Walsall leather industry based on their years of working in the industry. I made some leather key ring fobs for my grandchildren with a lot of help. Interesting exhibits in showcases.

Excellent museum with some lovely volunteers who had worked in the industry when Walsall was the heart of the leather trade. Made keyrings and wristbands! Purchased 2 passport covers in the shop made in Walsall.

We came on a visit with a U3A group, I didn't know anything about Walsall and the leather trade but I do now! The staff were friendly, helpful and didn't rush us in spite of being busy with primary school children.

That's lovely to hear and I'm glad that group had an enjoyable visit. We try very hard to give all our visitors a positive experience even when we're really busy so it's really good to hear this was the case for your group.
