We rented bikes and had a great time on this route. We went from Avenham Park to Brockholes. Great route away from vehicles, especially as I hadn't been on a bike in ages.

Might be good for cyclists but on the shared paths with pedestrians it can be dangerous. The cyclists go flying past with no regard to people walking with prams and children. Just shout at you to get out the way as if its only for...More

I walk part of the Guild Wheel every day and it amazes me how cyclists can pay thousands of pounds on bikes and lycra yet won't pay a couple of quid for a bell. Passing a pedestrian from behind without warning is RUDE. Get a...More

The guild wheel is a stroke of genius! It is a trail that spans and celebrates all aspects of Preston from the docks to the countryside. I run on it everyday, I take my children to visit the ducks on another part of it and...More

Such a shame that a great walking/cycling route around Preston has been let down by the folk who use it. Can never relax walking as you're always on the look out for cyclists thinking they are on a race track. Avoid if you want a...More

Absolutely the best cycle route I've completed. We picked a good day and took our time. Some stunning parks and wonderful countryside right on the outskirts of Preston. Can't wait to do it again. The best bit is that 90% is traffic free. Love it
