There are 11 acres of garden at this beautiful National Trust location. The garden is laid out in a number of "rooms". My favourite was the red garden with beautiful dahlias and canna lilleys. Be careful what footwear you wear as some of the paths...More

We returned to Hidcote for the first time in two years. Slightly disappointed this time, perhaps the NT are struggling with staff and volunteers to keep the garden in prime condition. We felt that it was looking rather unkempt. The cafe was better than some...More

The only thing I can think of that needs improvement is the accessibility for wheelchair. The garden is amazingly well thought out! Incredible gardening skills! The cafe meals are prepared fresh & lovely. I truly enjoyed the meal! Try to take home some of the...More

Visited whilst in the area. As members of the national trust we have been to lots of the properties, but these gardens are amongst the most beautiful that we have seen. Well worth seeing, they are a feast for the eyes.

This National Trust garden is a feast for the eyes. The result of one man's vision, the 10 acres of garden follows a concept of 'rooms'. Walking around, the eyes are offered a feast of different environments and changes of vista, many filled with a...More

Second time of visiting, this time in the sun. It remains one of our top garden visits. The house is nothing to write home about but we knew that. The Gardens, however, are a series of enchantments. All different, all beautifully kept, all with unusual,...More

Hidcote has some of the most beautiful gardens and landscapes around, also not far from very pretty small Cotswold villages such as Broadway! It makes a lovely full day out that can be enjoyed by anyone as there is also two cafes that can give...More

Lost a star as a lot of the areas were closed for maintenance. Beautiful plants and individual sections. Really inspirational displays. Shame so many areas were closed, however this is inevitable with any establishment.

Hi Littlesister75, we generally recommend a two hour stay here at Hidcote, and the same at Kiftsgate. If you start your day here with us you can walk down the lane to get to Kiftsgate. We look forward to seeing you in May!
