We visited the cathedral in February 2017. Really impressive piece of local and national history. What added to the experience were the helpful guides that knew lot about the cathedral and the history of the place. Time really flew, we ended up spending an hour and half exploring the halls of the cathedral.

so i went in because ive been here for 5 years and never been in... defo wasnt for pokemon... :P but i was surprised at the welcome and social engagement side of the cathedral. they have music evenings, art exhibitions and are generally a meeting place of people than a place just for prayer and judgement. well done.

Not been in the cathedral for several yrs forgot how beautiful it is. Was visiting for a gin festival last night and a bit unsure as I only normally drink 🍷 and never touch spirits. Purchased tickets as part of Christmas presents 🎁 for family members for about £8 ish each but due to default my husband and myself took... More

At Manchester this weekend for my daughters 21st (she is currently at university there) We had a disastrous Friday night being refused entry at James Martins Casio restaurant even though we had booked 4 weeks in advance) Our weekend was then rescued by the warmth and kindness, not to mention good food and drink, that Manchester has to offer. On... More

After driving to pick up my daughter from a concert I thought I would explore the area. Unfortunately it was a Gin day but that didn't spoil my walk around it. The windows were amazing and the history of the cathedral was very interesting

There are so many cathedrals to visit and only so much time one has when on holiday, but Manchester Cathedral is a gem. It's a modern house of worship and elements of that (you know those modern seating conveniences) should not discourage one from looking up and out in this vast space that inspires one with the wonders of the... If it is open it is worth spending a few minutes inside. But it is not an architectural masterpiece that merits a special trip.

It was raining outside, I took my two sons pop in it. It was half term but not many kids in there. It was busy in it. lots of things were going on: repair scafoldding, photographers, music testing. I felt the cathedral is alive. The new organ is very impressive. They were testing it. very bueatiful music came out it.

Rather small as Cathedrals go but nevertheless well wort a visit. On entering new visitors are provided with a free guide which we found instructive and informative. As one walks around one cannot fail to be impressed by the striking stain glass windows. At each place of particular interest there is a display giving all the necessary history. Congratulations and thanks... More

I adore looking at and visiting Cathedrals and this was just beautiful. I hate how some Cathedrals have a entry fee and a gift shop! But this one doesn't. Its lovely to walk around and such beautiful architecture! The lovely man on the door was very informative and friendly. I am not a religious person but love to see how... More
