One of my favorite street, is divided from Deansgate in 2 side. Wast side there many elegant restaurants like San Carlo, Chicchetti (house of Fraser), 47 Kings street and so on, often nice cars in front of San Carlo. On the other side is only walking with nice shops, offices and cafè. I like it.

Was at one time a very upmarket street with lots of individual shops with exciting wares but alas has lost its charm over the last few years. Many shops empty and looking a little sad. Some survive so it is definitely worth a wander down as still one of the better parts of Manchester

Once Manchester's answer to Bond Street, the recession has had an impact here, as everywhere else and many of the classy outlets have gone. However, there are still some shops worth visiting and it remains a good place to people watch.

Probably past its best, it used to be a prestigious area for shops and professional firms but many have now moved to Spinningfields.

King Street used to be the main finance street of Manchester, lined with banks and major companies head offices or main branches. King Street is in two main parts, either side of Cross Street--three if you include King Street West on the other side of Deansgate. It's now trendy restaurants, shops and bars, but the original buildings remain in all... More

.. not quite as good as it used to be. Some vacant slots now and the high end boutiques still survive. Not really worth going much out of your way for.
