Just the reference point in the city and a good place for shopping and eating but without touristic interest. It's a place to pass through, not to visit.

Relaxing place to sit and get away from the hustle and bustle if th ebust City Cenre without leaving the immediate vicinity. Lots of shops, bars and restarants next to the gardens. There's even The Manchester Wheel if you fancy!

Other than being an open space in the centre of Manchester, this place has very little to recommend it. There are two statues on the fringes and blues and trams can be caught from here but as a place to relax it is sadly lacking. The word 'gardens' is also a misnomer as predominantly it is a concrete space with... More

Full of initmidating drug dealers and pickpockets. Be careful. Good for shops like Primark etc which is nearby but be wary of everyone around you. Flower sellers are busy pickpocketing and dipping handbags.

If you are here then you are close to the main shopping area of Manchester. There are some decent hotels need by (Abode is our present favourite but Malmaison is not bad) and plenty of places to eat (Ask has been good when we have visited). Depending on when you come here there can be a market on the area... More

i used to live in Manchester and piccadilly gardens were my fav place a coffee in nero and seeing this green space will make you relaxed, plus it is close to all shopping shops especially to arndale, if u feel hungry you can eat italian food, asian food or go to the food court of the shopping centre

When I came to Piccadilly Gardens about 10 years ago it was a really nice place to hang out. At the moment about 70% of it is boarded up. They are doing some work and it should be finished in 2017. I await the unveiling.

I was hoping to see a lovely pleasant green area in the centre of the city after having seen the street markets, but it was all boarded up.

Currently Piccadilly Gardens is in a bad state, more like a concrete jungle due to work being carried out which makes it look really bad. It would have been nice too see the gardens in the state they were previously.
