Lovely to walk along tiny winding paths in botanical gardens and then to sit by River Mersey and watch the ducks. Beautiful woods.

This park is nice if you're in the area - it's not worth travelling out for the city centre though, in my opinion

A nice free day out, perfect for anybody looking for a nice walk to kill an hour or two. It has some great photography spots and is easy to get to (close to bus routes and has free parking). It's easy to get lost here...More

This place is free to visit, however donation is recommended for the maintenance. Around 1 hour will be sufficient for exploring. Best time to visit - June to August. There's a small little cafe. Easy bus access. Could pre-book badminton/ sports courts etc.
