In a big city like Manchester, the Platt Fields Park is just an oasis of calm, peace and tranquility. In the midst of so much hussle, this is truly the Eden of Manchester. Must-visit for anyone who loves Manchester.

This is a great place to just sit back, relax and soak up the lush greenery. The sunken garden is particularly pretty. Gives the phrase 'peace and quiet' a whole new meaning. How to get there: from (downtown) Piccadilly, take any bus heading to Didsbury...More

This park is not bad for BBQ but not the best for families or someone looking for a decent park, I usually go to Birtch field park (5 minutes walking from Plattfield park) as it is better for families.

The space itself is nothing exceptional: worn out fields, old playgrounds and a decent lake. But for many South Mancs this park is full of happy memories: playing with friends, picnics, BBQs... This is a space best enjoyed with friends and loved ones.

A lovely park near Rusholme, lovely gardens and trees to shade you from the sun, lovely benches, rose gardens, a lake great place to have a quiet walk in and to relax away from the busyness of life.

Had a nice stroll and a lung full of fresh air here yesterday. A nice spot in a busy city centre and will definitely visit again. Especially loved walking round the boating lake.

I had a wonderful Saturday afternoon walking around the lake. There was a man helping remove rubbish and planting a reed bed. There were also many ducks and ducklings, one had exploded, but the rest were very cute. The walk took around 20 mins and...More
