This is one beautiful cathedral. We were taken by its sheer size! The abbey and astrological clock were really pretty as well. Take time to study the detail as we found little hidden gems all over it's exterior and interior. It's free to visit, but I would recommend going early or late in the day to avoid the crowds.

We have visited many cathedrals across Europe and this one is stunning. We visited Strasbourg for the Christmas markets, for which the cathedral provides the perfect back-drop. The inside is ancient and beautiful and there is no charge to visit.

This cathedral dominates the Strasbourg skyline. The exterior is beautiful with very tall steeple & intricate stone carvings. Walk inside however and it's very austere. Stained glass windows are only color--very cold- even the altar. The astronomical clock is underwhelming at best. The highlight for me was the nativity cresh on display. Unfortunately the steps to the tower were closed.

We had a fabulous visit chasing Christmas Markets. They are all over in the old city. The area in front of the cathedral had a great market and the cathedral itself is awe inspiring.

Definitely worth a visit. I spent a good 45 minutes exploring the cathedral and absorbing the details of the design. While the interior was nice, for me, the exterior is what really made this an unbelievable experience. Make sure to take time to walk around the exterior and see the cathedral from as many different angles as possible.

Maybe because I kept comparing this with The Sagrada Familia or the Montserrat Monastery in Barcelona, I wasn't impressed. You could skip this if you are pressed for time.

The Cathedral was really very impressive. Key features include the wonderful stone masonry, with hundreds of sculptures decorating the outside, the astronomical clock, a very large organ, the pulpit (look out for the carving of a little dog) and the stained glass windows. Well worth a visit.

The building really must be walked around. The decorative sculpture is amazing. Inside, the stained glass windows are beautiful and the organ pipes really nice. The clock is a bit underwhelming. We took the noon presentation - 2€ - but it had a sappy film, we waited around for a long time and then it did some neat things. Happy... More

This majesties cathedral has to be visited, already only for the glas paintings of the windows. The rosette at entrance is magnificence.
