Alone the stunning architecture is worth the visit. Marvel at Straßburg´s painters´works from Gustave Doré to Hans Arp. Also make sure to get one of the best city views over la Petite France from the museum´s café´s terrace.

After a long walk in the rain to get to this spot, it was a bit disappointing. There was no clear sign as to where was the entrance or the ticket office. They had limited exhibition as second floor was closed for renovation. Not many...More

It's hard to write about this museum. Undergoing some renovations at the moment, it may be more appealing once the work is completed. We had a bit of a walk to find it and the entrance wasn't obvious. That wasn't helped by a security guard...More

The striking, distinctly modern building sits comfortably beside the ancient bridges and historic houses of the past. I really enjoyed the gallery and its interesting curation. The exciting work of Pierre Mercier was new to me and intriguing. I loved the Picasso and Kandinsky and...More

Good rooms and lighting for an impressive permanent collection. Exhibitions when we visited were interesting - of course, these will vary. A visitor-friendly site and experience. Allow yourself enough time for a relaxed viewing, but you won't need more than 2 or 3 hours, maximum....More

More looking like a modern office building, the Museum leaves ambiguous feelings. The spaces are impressively big and full of light, but the museum as a whole lacks atmosphere and soul. The temporary exhibits were nice but won’t leave an unforgettable memory. Due to renovation...More

Very modern building which is great for showing modern and contemporary art. When we visited however only the ground floor was open, the rest was closed - fittingly they just charged us 1/2 price. There are some very good works, and quite a few that...More

We thoroughly enjoyed this outing. It has a wonderful cross sampling of 19th and 20th century artists including Kandinsky, Arp, Braque, Leger, Dufy, Rodin and so on. Kleln aber fein! Pieces 'rove' so all are not on display. However, the catalogue--if you're interested in this--is...More

I take it its worth the visit but will never know as all three galleries and city museums were closed due to strike action. The very reason I don't use CDG or Paris Orly when flying into the EU.
