Compared with all the other Catholic churches in the city, this is quite austere and plain inside. Despite the difference, there is a door connecting the Catholic church next door.

This is the best church I have ever been into for frescoes. Take a card and follow it around the church for great explanations. This is far better than the cathedral in my opinion. How on earth have the frescoes stayed intact for 700 years I really don't know. Really love the crusade of kings on the back wall and... More

Amazing frescoes, regrettably many faded, to our loss. Conviently located adjacent to the Sofitel hotel.

Take some time to visit this beautiful church. There are absolutely amazing frescoes -- there is one dating to the 14th century that is currently under renovation. The rest are abjectly stunning, but repainted in the Neo Gothic style. Beautiful, beautiful cloisters. Simple, elegant. And, the docent on duty was very knowledgeable and generous with information. I'd make this one... More

The simple yet elegant finishing soft this Protestante church is one of the easiest ways to begin to understand the difference in these two religions. Very well marked displays offer information about the church, famous parishioners and beginnings of the Protestant religion

This was our favorite church during our visit to Strasbourg. It is not as grand as the Strasbourg cathedral, not on a picturesque canal like Saint Paul's, or have an organ played by Mozart like Saint Thomas but this church is steeped with history. The interior is fantastic with beautiful frescoes, artwork and architecture. There is a serene cloister in... More

Well worth the slow walk through. The frescos are particularly moving. Like St Peter and fishing expedition on Galilee. The history and checkered past between RC's and Protestants adds much and explains much.

This is a slightly smaller Cathedral than the grand Cathedral of Strassbourg but definitely worth the visit.

We came across this church whilst wandering through the northern quarter of Strasbourg and were pleasantly surprised. The church is being renovated but there is so much you can see at the moment, and, a big bonus is that there is a well written English guide for you to use whilst inside. The decor is amazing and indicates the various... More
