We were surprised at the diversity of precooked and cooking products available for purchase here. Along with the ready to eat there is a graet range of cheese, fruit and veg and of course oysters to eat or takeaway. All were very reasonably priced given the quality. I recommend buying lunch and a local wine or cider and eating with... More

This market is literally one block from my daughter's home on Rue Borie! When we are visiting, I never miss going to this energetic farmer's market. My grand-daughters lead me to the stand selling crepes and we start out with some of those. Then we head to the fresh orange juice stand -- a relatively new feature at the market.... More

Good selection of foods to eat or take away. Fresh local oysters with a glass of cold white wine sitting beside the river on a Sunday morning, what's not to like ?

We thought we would try a restaurant here for the views of the river. We pored over the menus displayed outside some of the restaurants and chose one - we wanted to come for lunch. After being seated and given the menu we discovered it was markedly different to the one displayed out front. When we queried this we were... More

The Marche de Quais is a great place to wander on a Sunday morning - a great range of food and wine products to eat and take away. Try the escargot Bordelais or the roast chicken

Such a beautiful setting along the Garonne river - a great Sunday stroll. Gallettes we're made before our eyes and were delicious, as was the cider. We purchased a great and relatively inexpensive 2011 Bordeaux wine and tray of Caneles (so much better than the ones from the chain bakery we had the previous day). We took these back to... More

A wonderful place to visit on Sunday morning. Many stalls selling bread and pastries, cheeses, vegetables, meats, and prepared foods such as paella, escargot, roasted chickens, etc. But my favourite is just get 6 oysters and a glass of wine and sit by the riverside and slurp away. Bliss.

Busy Sunday Market set up along the riverside. Good atmosphere. Stalls selling a variety of produce, cheese, hams, fish, oysters, meat, fruit and vegetables. A nice place to stroll through on a Sunday morning, with seating wher yo can enjoy a breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Thank Cathy G
