Founded in 1848 following the division of the Mac Carthy estate, Château Haut-Marbuzet began its rise to glory in 1952, when Hervé Dubosq purchased it as a life annuity. He brought the vineyard back to life and crafted a very personal, indivdual wine, which immediately appealed to a great number of connoisseurs. His son Henri joined him in 1962, to support him in achieving the only objective dear to the Duboscq family, namely the"Glory of Haut- Marbuzet".Qualitatively speaking, Haut-Marbuzet has become an undisputed benchmark within the Saint-Estèphe appellation.

What a place stunning beautiful. We were shown around by Delphine she was wonderful the information passion that came from her made the trip special. The smell of the wine maturing in the oak barrels was the best thing, its one of my favourite smells.

Henri is not only a master wine maker, but perhaps the most engaging host ever. Charming, funny, cheeky and some times outlandish. It is a marvel to hear him speak. his wine is delightfully soft and greatly underrated, although Haut Marbuzet now seems to be...More
