A triumph of form over substance. A hugely disappointing, superficial and badly-managed experience. Great for everyone that gets their cut - educational value however sadly limited. All for a kings' ransom of an entry fee. Best avoided :(

If you need to stay away from the sun or it's a rainy day - this place is perfect. Expect queue to the virtual activities but it's worth waiting. There is also a really interesting 3D movies about Galapagos (English and other languages - ask...More

Not worth the money. Wish we had read reviews beforehand as would not have went. Issued we came across seem to have been going on for years. Visited 01 Aug 17. Interactive, multi language attractions are nothing new and can be done so well. This...More

It was overcast so we thought that a visit to the Museum would be a great idea. The building is impressive and cost of entry reasonable for two Adults (16 Euro I believe for two). Once inside we had our first introduction to Virtual Reality...More

The displays that did work were really interesting. You could learn about the formation of the oceans, the animals that live at the poles, the temperate oceans (except only one worked when I stepped on it, as instructed). There were also English, French and Spanish...More

Went here with the kids on a rainy day. Incredible interactive stuff to keep them entertained. There was a surf thing in VR that was amazing. And Dad got to sneak off upstairs for a coffee.

More of a science exhibit than a museum, I can highly recommend walking here along the coast from Biarritz on a nice day. You can't currently walk at sea level (unless the tide is out) from Cote des Basques to Milady beach. As well as...More

Only half the exhibits are in English or Spanish; several exhibits failed to work including Sauvetage. The Virtual Tour 360 includes a small number of fish/amphibians that are way too common, and well known such as sharks, Dolphins, tortoises AND you can hear the surrounding...More

Fully multilingual hi tech displays imaginatively deal with many aspects of the oceans. Not really suitable for young children, more suitable for ages 10 plus. Essential visit for key stages 3, 4 & 5. Interesting for adults too.

Loved this place that exceeded expectation. Informative, interactive and innovative. Something for all the family - my 7 year old was very well entertained. Good food in the cafe and restaurant too, although the restaurant is pricey and needs booking at the weekend.
