This exquisite basilica holds a very special madonna in a crypt beneath the main altar. One feels the presence of the divine at the foot of an old druidic well placed in front of the statue. A deep quiet place to meditate.

This is without any doubt one of the most fascinating Romanesque churches in all France if not in all Europe. The interior breathes calm and quiet, little if any decoration except for the beautifully crafted capitals which crown the pillars. Take time, reflect and breathe...More

This ancient church is impressive for its architecture, for the beauty of the decoration of its chapels, for the harmonious combination of ancient and modern and for its evangelistic outlook. Notable features include the modern depiction of Jacob's well where Jesus met the Samaritan woman,...More

As the smaller church (compared to the majestic Cathedrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption), it is a bit hard to locate. It took me asking a local passer-by to lead me to the right location. Unfortunately, I happened to be in town when the church is closed for outside...More
