We had hard time finding parking but in the end we did and it turned out to be very close to the cathedral within walking distance via narrow back streets. Unfortunately it was lunch time so the cloister was closed but the cathedral is nice inside. Good experience.

You have to leave your dog outside. Free entry. Worth a visit, especially to see the black Madonna (which I also had the pleasure of seeing at The Monastery at Monserrat.

This is an Awe inspiringly beautiful place. You don't have to be religious to appreciate the spiritual presence of this ancient place. The Camino office opens at 1000(please double check) but the quaint yet invaluable displays are worth a look. 0700 mass for followed by blessing for pilgrims.

Set in the centre of the old medieval part of the city the cathedral is well worth the effort of walking up through the city. Parking is very much easier from the newer part of the city near the Tourist information office. The Cathedral is magnificent, a cool and tranquil oasis amid the bustle of the city. On the road... The cathedral is a must see if you go to Puy en Velay. Apart from its artistic and historical value, the steps you need to climb in order to reach it offer a wonderful view on the town. At night, the cathedral is beautifully illuminated.

This Cathedral has some wonderful works of art and was an important part of the pilgrimage from France to Santiago de Compestella - it's a bit of a climb but well worth it - and you can also find it by following the scallop shells in the footpath.

This is an absolute must if you are a pilgrim on the Via Podiensis. The Cathedrale is quite spectacular in that it has more steps outside the building than in - and the morning pilgrims blessing mass is a must do - no matter what language you speak. Make sure you stay on after the Mass as the blessing is... More

Fantastic wooden pulpit and organ with some some striking modena religious pieces. Great free attraction.
