We have visited Carnac several times and haven’t been inside the church until today. It is so beautiful. There are amazing paintings on the ceilings and lovely stain glass windows. It’s so tranquil and a lovely place to sit and reflect. We also lit one of the beautiful little candles which shone brightly across the church. My 7 year old little boy wanted to go back as he liked it so much. Would highly recommend a visit and we will be back again soon!

Carnac is a beautiful Brittany village with friendly Carnacois.. We visited after seeing the Neolithic Carnac Stones. We sat in a bistro looking towards the church and were served the most delicious coffees. We were lucky enough to see the locals participating in a religious celebration with their animals and livestock. The women were all dressed in the traditional costume of Brittany and wearing their wonderful lace coiffes and aprons.
Highly recommended for a visit if in Brittany.

This impressive spire is quite a challenge to photograph. It is a definate landmark in the little village. The village has many good specialist shops as well as bars and restaurants some very special. A must try are the crepes on a stall made to order.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Carnac itself is a nice little town and this church is right in the center. There is an english guide available inside.

Dropped into this church whilst having a walk around Carnac.
This is a beautiful church, with stunning stain glass windows and a painted wooden roof. You get a real feel for the age of this church whilst you are inside and around it.
I found a real peace on my visit to this church and found it to be relaxing.
During my visit it was mainly adults visiting, but there were a few families with children also enjoying this great church.
Lots of parking around the church itself, most are meter paying spaces, but did notice disabled parking was towards the front of church in front of the book shop which was free, so easy access if you have someone that may require disabled parking.

Carnac is know for its monolithic alignments and beaches. But don’t forget to take a tour of Carnac town. The church of saint Cornell is definitely worth a visit. It is an impressive work of art, and great culture. Thank you to the parish for giving the chance to take a moment to reflect.
