The striking Renaissance facade is one of the most recognisable features of the city. The 16th century porches are covered with incredibly detailed bas-reliefs. Truly a book of knowledge for the illiterate believers of that time. There was a marriage ceremony inside the church.

This church is one of the rare examples of the mixture of late gothic and renaissance building styles. The front of the building looks very balanced indeed, whilst the inside of the church is pure serenity.

Eglise St Michel an imposing Church at the end of the street so stand back and take it in. There were some beggers at the door when we went in but they did not cause any problems and clearly had enough of their own. Go...More

The architecture of the church is very imposing when you see it looming at the end of the street. It is beautiful inside, and located near many other major tourist sites so worth stopping in.

From the outside, Saint Michel is an impressive show of Gothic-Renaissance architecture -- it's simply a beautiful building from any angle. It's also a terrific place to stop and have some quiet time (for any of a number of reasons). As with many historic cathedrals,...More

The exterior of the church is large and imposing but inside it is both warm and majestic. There are some great stained glass windows. It is definitely worth a stop in as it's in centreville.

This church too is worth a visit as are many churches in Europe. This one housed the relics of St. Elizabeth. Impressive carvings on the facades of the church.
