Very interesting Chateau where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years of life. Leonardo is featured extensively, especially, his inventions. The Chateau is compact compared to others in the Loire Valley and can be completed in a reasonable amount of time. The park is pretty...More

So I had no idea that daVinci lived here, although the story and history of his paintings then made sense. The house was interesting, great models, really nice display of his work area...but the best was the park! Lots of trails, hidden gems...loved the little...More

No problem. Lots of places in the gardens to sit and eat. We didn't do it ourselves but saw lots of others picnicking and wished we had too.

There are a small number of free spaces just down the road, next to a new pay parking area, which is not too expensive. There are signs to the chateaux from the ring road, and we found it easily.
