We were arriving early into Chinon and knew about this place after reading a few reviews. We decided to pay a visit to the winery, just located on the side of one of the main roundabouts of the town entrance. We knew that you need a reservation for the tasting tour but we didnt hesitate to ask if it was... More

Our tour was booked a couple of days in advance and the charming Bertrand Couly provided a highly informative tour of his pristine winemaking facilities. His infectious enthusiasm for the glorious wine, his good humour and excellent English (and patience with the two noisy toddlers in our party!) were impeccable. We then enjoyed an exquisite tasting of four different wines,... More

These were some of the best wines we tasted in the Loire Valley. Our guide was excellent, so knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be on the lookout for these wines in the states. They varied from light to full bodied, but all were complex and full of flavor, so easy to drink.

It would be hard to imagine a better wine tasting. Book in advance and for a small fee you will be guided by the owners around their modern winemaking facilities (don't worry, they are from a family of wine growers dating back to the middle ages!). The tour is followed by a tasting of their wines, which demonstrates perfectly the... More

We visited in May 2016 and had a great experience meeting Veronique and one of the brothers. We tasted the Rose and several of the Reds. We loved the Rose and La Haute Olive, all Cabernet Franc. Fun and easy tour with very friendly hosts. Don't miss it if in the area. We have since bought more of their wine... More

Very good wine tasting experience. We were given a very gracious talk about the different soil and how it impacted the taste. The portions were very generous, and we had to go for a walk to sober up a little. Will go again

We made an appointment to visit beforehand and it includes a tour and a tasting for 5 euro a person. The wines were pretty good, and he gave a very extensive explanation of the different terroires that affect the taste of the wine. He also told us that he came from so many generations of wine makers on both sides... More

Another great place to taste, discuss and to buy local wines. You can taste the red wines here grown on a variety of soils ranging from sandy to limestone to clay to gravel, each having quite different character. The trip downstairs to the winery was small but interesting with an exhibition of photos on each vat showing a pregnant woman,... More
