We came across this remarkable library just by chance taking a meandering route from the Cathedral back to the train station. Really, I've never seen an art deco building quite like it. The detail inside and out was astonishing and I only wish I lived in the area so that I could use it regularly.

Built by Andrew Carnegie to replace Reim's library which was destroyed during WWI. It is so nice to see such a lovely building with beautiful grounds also be practical and well-used. This is definitely a must see! The lobby alone is worth the visit.

This library is such a beautiful surprise. The reception area is exquisite, as is the library room itself - and so peaceful. Almost makes you want to study again (almost!)

This is a wonderfully decorated library well worth a short visit. The building, the little garden in front and its location makes it a easy 15 min stop while visiting the beautiful Reims.

Close to cathedral. Passed by but did not go in. Beautiful building on the outside. We have a Carnegie library in our city. Did not realize they were built in Europe as well.

It won't take long, but there is lovely art deco lights, windows, and mosaics. They have lovely restrooms in the basement.

Our host at the B&B urged us to see the library, and I'm so glad she did. This building is small but jaw-dropping beautiful. Exquisite mosaics dazzle the eye starting with the domed entrance hall. The Bibliothèque is only a few steps from the Cathedrale and is a not-to-be-missed site on a trip to Reims.

A public library, build with Carnegie's money. The most impressive is the style of the entire interior, great to just walk in and have a look.
