The area is gorgeous and absolutely breath-taking, but after an hour it becomes 'more of the same'. Depending on the time of your visit you may or may not see a lot of wildlife and looking at pretty cliffs can get boring after a while. I would recommend a short boattrip of two or three hours perhaps. It is cheaper... More

We took a 6-hour trip to this World Heritage site in the hope of seeing lots of marine life and amazing beauty. The cost was an expensive $A145. There are a number of tour companies from Ajaccio- ours was owned by SAS Stella Marin Bologna.cant remember the exact name. The journey from Ajaccio took 2 hours each way in rigid... More

Nature at its best. A must see when visiting Corse. Absolutely stunning. Lots of boat tours to visit this nature reserve. Or just hire your own boat to enjoy this enchanting place.

We were staying in Calvi and took a boat cruise to see Scandola. It's spectacular. But I wouldn't advise doing this when the sea is rough.

We took the option without Girolata. We took a boat from Galéria. There are 2 companies, we took that one in the pier, € 35 per person in a large zodiac, in total were about 16-18 people. The guide, nice, speaks a little English and explains the geological formation and history of the area, brings you closer to the caves.... More

We took the boat from Calvi to Scandola on a July afternoon. The trip was comfortable and the scenery was pleasant, but I've seen plenty of more stunning scenes around the Mediterranean. If the trip had been half the price and had included a stop for a swim I could have recommended it more highly, but over 50Euros per person... More

Porto itself is a beautifull little fishermans village with lots of boat rides to Scandola. We decided to go from Porto instead of Cargese (based on a recommendation from our landlord), so on the drive from Ajaccio we enjoyed the most beautiful scenary in the mountains. TOP recommendable.

Wonderful trip to view scenic cliffs that all but fall in the ocean. Took boat from Calvi, with very nice lunch stop in Girolatto.
