The square is right in the center of town, there are a myriad of restaurants to drop into to sit at and relax and take in the scenery.

St Nicholas Square is located opposite the port in sight of the large ferries. There are several restaurants there with masses of outside tables under beautiful plane trees. It's a great place to relax, to eat and drink outside, and to people watch. Every Sunday...More

This square is close to the marina and harbour in Bastia. The little fountain with the girl's statue in front is very picturesque and you can take quite a few pictures here. If you are hungry, loads of restaurants around the square itself.

A nice place to wander around before you find a nearby spot to enjoy your lunch or dinner. It's worth a look as it's one of the first spots you encounter when you arrive from the bus or ferry.

This is part of modern Bastia. With so much grand history around, this newer, but still well established place provides a different view of the history of Corsica. Some great bars.

The square's impressive but it's not as memorable as the pretty streets of the citadel, and although the palm trees look good the shops, cafes, etc aren't anything special. The statue of Napoleon makes one think. What does it reveal ? What is it meant...More
