One must visit the La Tour Eiffel at least once.Yes, a great many tourists go there... because it remains the iconic image of Paris for many around the world. Be AWARE that even before the high season begins in April, the crowds waiting to buy tickets for a ride to the second level are substantial. In late spring and summer,... More

As expected, this is a busy location. Lots of crowds and it's unclear how to get up top. There's ice cream trucks and vendors in the street so you can get a bite to eat. Keep your wallet and purse close, lots of pick pockets. Amazing and as beautiful as you'd expect.

We tentatively pre-booked our timed guided tour around the Eiffel Tower before our trip over the internet, and we were not disappointed. We had direct access after passing security (no queuing), to all three floors and were lucky to see the sights of Paris during daylight, dusk and evening- perfect! Our guide was informative and were allowed as much free... More

We took the stairs to the second floor, and boy there are a lot! Had to take a few breaks, but going up was a great idea. The views are breathtaking. We also went a separate time at night, as there is a light show ever hour that lasts for 5 minutes. That was kind of cool, definitely an interesting... More

We took the elevator to the top floor of the Eiffel Towel at sunset, the plan was to see the day time as well as night time; however, sun goes down very quickly, or I should say there are too many people get in line(to go to the top floor). When we were finally on the top floor, the sky... More

Using a tour to skip the line was worth it. Do each level.. it is a great view at all levels. There are plenty of places for pictures.

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighbourhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
