We saw the temporary Meiji exhibition: it is grand and the exhibits are well displayed and lit. The museum itself is just a delight to visit. Nice stylish café / restaurant to have a quiet break.

The huge Guimet has great many exhibits from most Asian cultures, but the highlight I would say are the Chinese collections. Some of the very best old (ie Xia, Shang, Zhou, Han) bronzes outside China and Taiwan, marvellous ceramics, and fantastic sculptures. However they could...More

Broad collection of excellent pieces of Asian art. Some English labels and explanations. Temporary Meiji exhibition was awesome. Must see if you're an Asian art fan.

This Asian art museum has an expansive collective covering many cultures of Asia. Stuff from the empire, stuff from French collectors. A lovely survey.

Exquisitely well arranged, this museum has a truly extensive array of artefacts drawn from throughout the Far East- mostly one person's collection. But the absence of any refreshments on site remains a pain!

The higher up you go in the building, the less impressive it becomes. Southeast Asia on the ground floor is fantastic, because the items are mainly thefts from former French colonies (Cambodia, Vietnam; not much in Laos). The statues on the first floor (Tibet, China)...More

There are many beautiful pieces in the variety of collections from different countries. They are also well presented and well arranged. The buildings also have beautiful interior under the dome. Check the map or you may miss some of the great displays.

This museum was better than expected. At the beginning didn't like it, around the southeast Asia part, cause everything was almost the same type of collection. Then i went to the Nepal, Tibet area and really liked it. Had free entrance by being U-26. There's...More

The museum has relevant objects coming from most of the Asian countries and gives an important highlight to their cultures, but the explanations of the objects are quite poor and difficult to read because of their position. The Japanese garden one of the most interesting...More

A beautiful building home to a large collection of Asian art running from Korea down though former French Indochina and west to Afghanistan. The collection of objects from Japan and China is grand and then it gets even better when one gets to the objects...More
