Loved being able to climb the towers where Hugo set his influential novel! The history of this great building is as impressive as the history of this city!

Such an amazingly beautiful building. If you're unlucky and cannot enter due to the crowds, make sure you go into the archaeology museum underneath. It was completely empty when we went, even though the queue in the square above was at least an hour long.

Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

You can take the backpack with you. They will ask you to open and check at the gates. We had backpack, they checked and let us in. Not a problem. You an keep it with you all through out the tour after that.
