We were in Paris for a 2 day stop over as part of our tour package. On the free and easy, my family and I took Uber to visit Notre Dame Cathedral. The place is on high security as there were police and soldiers everywhere....More

Well, it's Notre Dame. An impressive early Gothic cathedral that was washed clean some seventeen years ago. The walls used to be literally black. Hunchback, chimeras and all that. Underwhelming inside; there are better cathedrals to visit in Paris, typically with less or no waiting...More

Notre Dame Cathedral is another cathedral checked off my list. Plus is that it is free and you do not have to pay for a ticket, and the plaza gives enough space for pictures and such.

A wonderful site to see and a great place to stroll and people watch. Not too crowded and so easy to get to. Also, there are the fully automated porta potties nearby which is a plus.

A must see Paris site. Old and Grand with beautiful stain glass windows. The architecture is one of the greatest.

There is no cost to walk into the church and look around. It's definitely worth the trip as the church has several stunning paintings, statues, stained glass, etc.. It's simply beautiful.

Notre Dame is all about the architecture, but don't miss the murals, sculptures, and other artwork. The lines weren't excessive.

The top is definitely worth climbing a few hundred steps. If you're obese you may not fit (seriously). Go early to avoid crowds.

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
