Great Bloody Mary. But nothing too special. Too much "Americana" for my taste. Your in Paris, probably go somewhere Parisian.

This can be a fun place to stop for a drink or a waste of time. It depends on who is tending bar. The younger bar tenders are friendly and helpful. Some of the "older" bar tenders might ignore you and bus tables rather than serve you a drink. If you get ignored trying to be served, just eat the... More

We stopped in for lunch. Harry's is a bar, not a restaurant. That said...at lunch they have a few items to eat. The club sandwich was magnificent! Comes with a drink for 19 euros. My husband and I split the sandwich and it was perfect...Harry's is relaxed at lunch time. Not many people when we were there.

Every trip to Paris includes a visit to Harry's. My favorite bar in Paris. This trip made it my 6th visit. It's relaxed, kinda dingy, very friendly. Not a huge upscale kind of place, but I love it anyway. On our way to see an Opera at Garnier and stopped in for my usual martini. Love it when the bartender... More

We came here fo one thing: The Bloody Mary, since this is the home of this drink. It was probably the most expensive Bloody Mary I have ever had but was worth it anyways for the history. It is just an average Bloody Mary, nothing special nor fancy. It is a full bar so the bartenders can whip up any... More

Harry's is legendary and deserves its reputation... A brief pit-stop on a Saturday afternoon turned into an attempt (by me) to conquer the cocktail menu - albeit after two I had to admit defeat and switch to beer! Harry's is just effortlessly brilliant - although it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday afternoon it just felt immediately like home. Laurent... More

Wonderful place to stop in for a famous cocktail and a hot dog. We stopped in during the late afternoon which seems to be their quiet time. Since I'm a cocktail bartender, we made immediate friends with the staff. Our French was as bad as their English. I had a French 75 (a little different with absinthe!). Great memories!

We stopped in to order my favorite drink, The French 75, as it was created there. It's worth stopping in for that and the other historic cocktails. The atmosphere wasn't all that impressive, although we did stop in during the day. There were quite a bit of flies all over the bar but the drinks were good.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
