If you are interested in decorative arts and stately homes, this is well worth a visit. Spectacular interior design and architecture also. The location is very accessible and close to excellent shopping nearby (Printemps and Galleries Lafayette) so it makes for a very pleasant day of touring to visit the museum in the late morning and spend 90 minutes or... The exhibition at the museum is okay, but the real star here is the house itself. A petite Versailles , it is strikingly beautiful. The decor, paintings, furniture...all contribute to making your visit truly Memorable.

Situated in a palatial house on Blvd Haussmann this was a very interesting museum with a range of different art works as well as the interiors of the house. Well worth a visit.

We were somewhat frustrated by the poorly aimed spotlights causing glare on many of the paintings and the guards that did little to reprimand the unruly crowds (unexpected at a small, off-the-beaten-path museum) presumably there for the Alicia Koplowitz collection, but the delicious pastry and the stunning tea room saved the day.

One of my favorite museums in Paris with an excellent permanent collection set in a beautiful mansion with an interesting history. Make sure you have lunch or a cup of tea in their spectacular salon de the. If there is a special expo here, buy your reserved tickets in advance at FNAC as the lines can be very long.

If you ever wanted to see how the high middle class lived this is the place for you. A big mansion/small castle full of luxurious rooms that show you how they lived.

A 19th century mansion built and furnished by Nelie Jaquemart and Edouard Andre. Furnishings and paintings gathered from Europe on their travels. The building itself is impressive with a grand curving staircase and reception rooms with moveable walls. Audio guide provides excellent info.

Formerly a home, this is unlike all of the traditional museums in Paris. It is of interest to see not only the art, but how it was traditionally displayed in a home of this caliber. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to visit a museum like this thanks to the generosity and creativity of the donors of this... More

The Musee Jacquemart-Andre is located on Ave. Friedland in the 8th and host many special exhibits throughout the year. Worth putting on you list when you do the museum tour of Paris. It is in the 8th so the crowds are not what you experience at the Louve and D'Orsay

Living in Paris, I have many, many choices of things to do and see. One of my very favorite museums in Paris is Jacquemart-Andre. Be sure to order tickets on-line. A special Rembrandt exposition beckoned me to return and I was not disappointed. The ambiance of this huge mansion is marvelous. Visiting gives me a perspective into the lives of... More
