A few hours spent immersed in art treasures of Europe of the past in a fantastic residence building. Many fine Tiepolo frescoes were a highlight

Worth a trip to see how some wealthy people lived a few years ago. I was amused to see the "moving walls" that make rooms bigger or smaller according to the party size.

You could line up to rush through the Louvre surrounded by tourists of you could come here for a leisurely stroll through an elegant historic mansion filled with beaux-arts, surrounded by elegant French people. Both are excellent experiences, depending on your mood and how often...More

This lovely former residence has interesting furnishings and art collections. It fits my attention span for museums -- less than two hours. It reminded me of Doris Duke's Shangri-la in Honolulu, because frescos had been reassembled inside, and the house feels like a place where...More

We love almost every museum we visit, but this one was unappealing. The art collection is second-rate, and the place is in need of some TLC and a deep cleaning. A few of the rooms are impressive, especially the sweeping double staircase. The cafe is...More

The Jacquemart-Andre located on Ave. Friedland is not the Lovre but it is one of the better small museums in the city. Special exhibits and the permanent collection are always worth the trip. Plan to have lunch or tea at the restaurant. Make sure to...More

The exhibition: From Zurbarán a Rothkon was fantastic. It is the first time that the Art collection of one of the richest woman of Spain, Alicia Koplowitz, is presented to the public. This is an eclectic collection, which seems to be conceived based on the market...More

From Zurbarán to Rothko exhibition is fine. Please note, everything is in French and Spanish. No English descriptions, so I think the audio guide is a must if you do not know either language. Visit on Monday when other museums are closed. Overall this is...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
We have tickets to the special exhibit at 10:15 and lunch reservations elsewhere at 12:30. Is it possible to leave the museum for lunch and come back in the afternoon to see the permanent exhibit?

Yes, no ticket required to do lunch.

Do the special exhibits, like the one that is there now, "From Zurbarán to Rothko" affect the permanent exhibits? We were disappointed in the Picasso Museum when we went as set up for a special exhibit had closed off some of the permanet exhibits.

Normally this is no problem. Have fun!!!
The website is not real easy to navigate...can anyone tell me how much this museum is? It looks like I need a reservation. Is that true or can we just drop in? Any other helps are appreciated. We will be in Paris next month. Thank you!
