Not pathetic & some great finds

Yes, it is not chic and upscale - it may be not even "mid-scale". But I found some very good old tools which I use for decorating my summer cabin. If you don't mind applying... read more

Came here on the strength of a good review in Time Out. 90% of it is tat. The rest is not good for tourists Don't waste your time venturing a long way out of central Paris to visit this place unless your luggage has been stolen and you need some cheap clothes for very little money.

go there only if you look for second hand simple and basic clothing. not vintage or something. just so many spooky ppl wondering around. very few real "flee market" staff. Someone tried to pickpocket me. so unless you need second hand clothes in a very cheap price - don't go there

I should warn, when we arrived we quickly noticed this is where the thieves go to sell iPhones that were stolen around the Eiffel Tower. Be super aware of your surroundings. Keep your purse/bags locked or under coats. Don't bring anything important with you, ie your passport or tons of cash. Once you get over the shock of how sketchy... More

Yes, it is not chic and upscale - it may be not even "mid-scale". But I found some very good old tools which I use for decorating my summer cabin. If you don't mind applying some handwork, you'll find good deals occasionally. And I once bought six pairs of French army leather gloves to work in the garden - 5... More

So I was a bit worried based on the reviews..but I knew what to expect so I wasn't surprised. There are some really detailed reviews on this site. So..yes..there aren't as many antique booths BUT..I enjoy the "hunt" of antiques..so this was wonderful to me. There were many clothing booths etc..but just keep going..you will see the antiques..I never felt... More

The more central flea markets in Paris are probably more tourist friendly. This is a market for people from Montreuil and tourists. If you enjoy sifting through junk to find interesting things and oddities then this is the place for you. I've found many great things here that i will treasure and tiny amounts of cash changed hands. If you... More

I visited here for a few hours on December 28th. Lots and lots of clothing at the beginning. You must walk far into the market to find other items and even then the treasures are few and far between. Lots of new things -- clothing, shoes, fabrics, watches, socks, jewelry, sunglasses etc., etc. Some vintage books, linens, lace, buttons, etc.... More

My family & I wanted to go to bric a brac market. We would not recommend this to anyone. This market was dirty and cheap (not in a good way). The neighbourhood felt unsafe, lots of graffiti. There was no charm at all which is the opposite to what I'd expect in Paris.

Walking to the market was rather scary, and walking back was worse. There is some vintage furniture and architectural objects, but they are not bargains. The silver was priced higher than the Valts in London. Used Levis are $35E, and there are used electronics that people cannot give to the Salvation Army in the US. Not one merchant said hello...
