One of the city’s largest green spaces, Buttes Chaumont's landscaped slopes hide grottoes, waterfalls, a lake and even an island topped with a temple to Sibylle. Once a gypsum quarry and rubbish dump, it was given its present form by Baron Haussmann in time for...More

Not a lot of tourists make the trek up to the Buttes Chaumont, but it's well worth it. It was built, apparently, on the waste heaps of the buildings Baron Haussmann had torn down to create the gorgeous, 19th century Paris that we see today....More

This is one of my favorite places in Paris. I consider it as a place where I can go and read a book in one of the benches or have a picnic with my friends.

Parc des Buttes Chaumont is beloved by tourists and Parisians alike, and that's how you know it's good. It's far away from the tourist traps of the first and second arrondissements and offers stunning views of Montmartre and the 20th arrondissement as well. It's beautiful...More

I loved Buttes Chaumont. It was a very natural park in the middle of the busy city. It had lots of walking trails, a huge pond/lake even a little waterfall. A great place to take a picnic

This park is too incredible to describe. It's a must do when visiting Paris. Grab some pastries and a book and chill out here for a few hours...also a popular place to go for a run.

Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père
Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local
treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery,
family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between
local stores and establishments. The richness of the
population here has created a little Chinatown of
Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night
by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one
