A friend & I went to Paris in July 2013 & loved it, the Moulin Rouge was worth seeing, get there early to get a good seat, we did, sit at the end of the table facing the stage, its the best view, no-one in your road, the show itself is entertaining, bright, colourful & creative, the champagne is also... Yes, many travelers will tell you to go to the famous Moulin Rouge if you're in Paris because it's part of the city and it's tradition started more than a 100 years ago. I was not planning on going however the tickets was given to us by my in-laws so this is not a biased review as I did not... More

Actually saw this show in February 2015 but can't go back that far on timeline. This show was fantastic! Totally inspirational and spell binding! The snake in the water was totally incredible. Simply loved every single minute of the show. Expensive but totally worth it!

My daughter and i went to the Moulin Rouge because of the movie. I had not seen it, but my daughter had and it was dream of hers to visit and see a show. I like the theater, but it was a cold night and it was freezing in the waiting area. We were seated kind of slowly too. Once... More

To cut a long story short, we got the time wrong for the show, or rather for the dinner and arrived at 8:15 for the 9pm show when it should have been 6:45! We werent even sure if they would let us in but far feom that, the staff rushed us through to our table, ensured that we got to... More

We were looking forward to an amazing show considering we spent $150 EACH. 1. Seedy location. 2. Terrible seating - all the way at the back where staff continued to go in and out if a back door, talking loudly, and could not see well at all! 3. Complimentary bottle of Champagne was undrinkable. It was exactly like popping Alka-Seltzer... More

Really enjoyed our night here despite being very jet lagged. Dancing and costumes amazing and inspiring. Venue gives you sense of the being part of a tradition stemming from yesteryear. We just did the show, so no review of dining includes. This is a must do when in Paris.

Went here as part of a tour, and I was really unimpressed. They serve very mediocre food, and put on a very mediocre performance with a poor storyline and pretty bad songs that annoyingly get stuck in your head. The only reason I saw for anyone to come here and see this was to ogle at women's breasts. Maybe this... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
