If you are into dolls, or were as a child, and if you enjoy things that are exotic and strange, you will appreciate the half hour that you spend here. Antique French dolls are actually quite different from their American equivalent. I also saw the temporary exhibit on Dolls of the '80s -- quel niche experience! While there, stop into... More

Very happy you enjoyed your visit in our small museum dedicated to antique dolls and dolls from the 80's. Located in a quiet place in the center of Paris, we like to think we represent the 'old' Paris! More

If you like antique toys or dolls, this is the place for you. Small and sweet, very unusual, never crowded. Display a bit strange. Not a class A museum, but very curious and worth a visit as a hidden gem of Paris.

This "museum" is more like a old fashioned toyshop extended with an annex serving as exhibitionroom, partly with a main collection of very old dolls and some dollhouses and furniture and a temporay collection. When I visited this place they held a temporary special exhibition"Stars D'Hollywood" showing (Barbie-like) dolls too.

It is hidden near le centre Pompidou, and it is quite small! It contains a permanent collection of more than 500 French dolls! So so cute....All the dolls are beautifully preserved.

The Musee de la Poupee was established in June, 1994, to display both the private doll collection of Guido and Samy Odin and thematic exhibitions that change several times a year. It is located at the end of a small alleyway adjacent to the Anne Frank Garden and across the street from the Pompidou Center in the third arrondissement. The... More

This is a lovely little museum, full of dolls of all ages displayed in packed cabinets, of varying levels of creepiness! It's very small, so you will probably breeze through it in a few minutes, but quirky, fun, and very central (close to the Pompidou centre).

And some lovely cute ones beautifully preserved , well lit cases and friendly staff , initially hard to find , but it's a min walking distance from Rambuteau metro and adjacent to the anne frank garden . - to which there... I went to the doll museum while my husband visited the Louvre and laughed myself silly. This place is amazing, and for 8 euro, an amazing time.

It was an interesting place. Although we did not have full access to the museum since they were changing the display. It was a last minute discovery near modern art museum. Not sure if the collection were kept that way because the museum was not fully open (it was quite disorganized). The toy store had some interesting stuff and was... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
