Just plain and surrounded by traffic.

It is very tired looking. Surrounded by traffic. I was very disappointed as it could have been located to a side or boulevard. It needs upkeep and better explanation too.

Interesting monument. I didn't schedule this during my visit to Paris, but I stopped to check it while walking in Pont de l'Alma. The visit is worthy.

This is the Princesse Diana memorial. This unique place along the seine river is worth the visit (combine it with your walk to the eiffel tower or a stroll along seine river. You can feel the energy of my favorite royal all times. RIP Diana.

Many years after her death and this memorial still holds deep meaning for many. Looking at it today it still has fresh flowers and notes from devoted fans 1848.

The area is very nice, and it is located over the tunnel where Lady Di lost her life. The monument is a replica of the torch of the Statue of Liberty. Its nice to look at, but mostly is a great memorial for a great person who did good for a lot of people!!

The Liberty Flame is a beautiful tribute to Princess Diana, who lost her life in a car accident in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel nearby. The area is very nice also, lined with many cafes and restaurants.

This sculpture is not all that interesting, but this area is superb because of the views of the Seine and the bridge. Some great cafes around here. Good views of Tour Eiffel. Princess Diana died in the traffic tunnel near here.

Visited the memorial during our stay in Paris. Was somewhat disappointed as the monument looking a little tired. There were people placing padlocks onto the surrounding chain fence links, a few flowers and pictures placed at the bottom of the monument. Worth a look if passing but not worth a special trip to the site. The Monument has been placed... More

Fitting tribute to Princess Diana. Replica of the flame of the statue of liberty . Nice area to walk in and metro Alma de Marceau will take you back towards the hassle and bustle afterwards !

From the first sight-nothing special. I was surprised why people recommend to visit this place. But when I came and started to read what happened in the tunnel under this monument, it's impressed me deeply.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
